About Highest Lake
Highest Lake sits at 12,438 feet in the Gorge Lakes area of Rocky Mountain National Park. Highest named lake in RMNP; off-trail only.
The hike from Forest Canyon Overlook (off-trail) covers 6.5 miles one-way on a strenuous trail requiring good fitness and navigation. This lake sits on the east side of the Continental Divide.
